In revamping my website this summer I really sat with creating offerings that mirrored my personal values while supporting my clients.
As an artist, I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to work with clients who truly value photography.
And as a mother, I know that sometimes there is a feeling of reservation in booking photo shoots for a handful of reasons.
I also know the feeling of wanting to photograph our children is specific moments in time, knowing they change and grow so quickly.
In Conversation
I recently had a photo shoot with a second-time mom, taking photos of her 7-month-old.
I shared with her that I remember wanting to get photographs taken of my younger son when he turned 6 months old, as little ones are generally beaming with personality at this age. I didn’t though because I felt like it was just a lot to make it happen, and I still regret it to this day.
She agreed it is such a special age and I was so glad to be able to capture his curiosity and the connection the family had formed together since his newborn photo shoot.
With that, I am now offering mini lifestyle sessions exclusively for existing clients!
Establishing a connection is an important aspect of my personal approach within photography. I feel confident in these abbreviated sessions because we already have that established connection; you know what to expect from me, and I already know the dynamics and personalities of you and yours!
Mini Session Details:
20 minute photo shoot
20 images delivered digitally
Investment $350
A few notes:
These can be booked year round, whenever you feel called to document a meaningful moment in the timeline of your life.
With the purpose of these mini sessions being to capture a sweet little slice of a precious moment in time, I suggest the shoot be as easeful as possible.
Locations: Home sessions are really lovely and allow us to document your home environment as well. We can also pop over to a neighborhood park. We won’t be traveling around much during these shoots so a location that is easily accessible and has one noteworthy spot is perfect.
Wardrobe: I know there is an idea that we need to get new outfits for photo shoots. I suggest you ride the wave of low pressure and wear something you already own. And because we have already worked together you already know my suggestions around what to wear.
The details:
Any signature offerings such as maternity and newborn do not qualify for mini sessions as these shoots merit more time.
With mini-sessions there will be less communication exchange in terms of creative direction, prep guides, etc.
